It's better to love...

I just finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. It was a touching story from the heart about love and life. Some things that stood out: “Be compassionate, and take responsibility for each other. If we only learned those lessons, this world would be so much better a place.” And as our great poet Auden said, "Love each other or perish."

Love each other or perish. And it certainly feels better to love.

Support for Breast Cancer

Once again some members of Congress are trying to get legislation passed to eliminate the so-called 'drive through mastectomy,' requiring insurance companies to pay for an appropriate length hospital stay for breast cancer patients.

The bill would allow a woman and her doctor to decide whether she should recuperate for at least 48 hours in the hospital or whether she has enough support to get quality care at home following this emotionally and physically difficult surgery.
